APEC 2017: Strengthening dialogue, cooperation with business finance
Senior officials at the Economic Cooperation Forum Asia - Pacific (APEC) stressed the importance and the need to strengthen interaction and dialogue with the financial cooperation channels and APEC business .
This is one of the items reported in the first plenum of the APEC Senior Officials (SOM1) has officially opened today (2/3).
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son - Chairman of the APEC 2017 SOM years - sharing: APEC 2017 will be a challenging year for the economy, due to economic growth and global trade low and face many uncertainties. In many economies, there is concern about the benefits of globalization are not distributed equitably to all people. Meanwhile, technology platform, if not used properly, can be further increased the development gap.
However, APEC 2017 SOM Chair also confirmed that APEC has the resources, the ability to overcome difficulties, and turn challenges into impetus for growth and development.
At the conference, as chaired the conference Deputy Finance Minister and Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of APEC on 23 - 24.02.2017 in the city of Nha Trang and the meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) first in 2017 on 19/2 days in Bangkok, Thailand, Vietnam announced the results of the meetings and cooperation priorities of financial processes and businesses in 2017.
Accordingly, the presentation at the conference stressed on the complementarity of the content is the focus of financial cooperation and enterprise for the topic and the priorities of APEC Year 2017.
On the side of the economy, senior officials attended the meeting were appreciated and affirmed support for themes and priorities Vietnam APEC Year 2017 proposals for senior officials also stressed the importance and the need to strengthen interaction and dialogue with the financial channels of cooperation and APEC's business.
The senior official also appreciated the desire of the APEC business community contribute to the overarching growth, particularly on practical matters such as resolving non-tariff barriers, to facilitate business small and medium enterprises, strengthen the contribution of women to the economy ... Thereby, trade liberalization and investment will not only be the needs of the business, but more importantly is beneficial for each citizen and prosperity for the whole society.
According to the agenda planned two-day SOM 2 and 3/3 of 1, senior officials will listen, discuss and approve the report of the Committee 4 and Investment Trade, Economic, Article Coordinator for economic Cooperation SOM - technical, Budget and Management. The report was noted from the meetings of the working groups and committees throughout the day APEC 18/2 - 1/3 the past. SOM 1 also discussed the priorities of APEC in 2017, set out the most important initiatives for the development, initially for orientation activities between now and Week APEC Summit scheduled to take place in November to Danang.
