The monument honoring Soviet pilots are planned in the US
A monument honoring Soviet pilots worked with the US Air Force during World War II will be built in the US, despite the tensions in bilateral relations.
Russian Joint Commission - the US on issues of prisoners of war and missing soldiers planned to build a monument in the US to honor Soviet pilots worked with American pilots during World War II, Sputnik on 28/2 reported.
"The construction site was chosen, located next to a US air base," Alexander Kirillin, vice president of the Coordination Committee on the said but did not disclose details about location based.
According Kirillin, despite strained relations between Washington and Moscow recently, the activities of non-governmental commission to strengthen ties between the two countries have been deployed bustle.
